It offers 88 one- and two-bedroom suites, each equipped with a kitchen or kitchenette, workspace and lounge area, catering to travellers seeking apartment-style accommodation.
Guests can access a lobby Marketplace that supplies locally sourced products for in-room dining.
Many suites provide views of the ocean or city and include private balconies.
The property also features an outdoor plunge pool, an all-day fitness centre and facilities for meetings and events. In-room technology, fast Wi-Fi and specific bathroom amenities are among the additional offerings.
The Aviary Bar & Brasserie serves modern Australian cuisine and regional dishes, while a lobby bar is available for beverages.
The location places guests near several of Darwin’s key attractions, including Crocosaurus Cove, the Waterfront Precinct, the Darwin Entertainment Centre, and Mindil Beach.
voco Hotels Portfolio general manager Sean DeSouza stated that the opening aligns with increasing activity in Darwin as a destination.
DeSouza said: “voco Darwin Suites is a proud moment for our team and for the [Northern] Territory. This opening brings a globally recognised premium brand into the heart of Darwin, while still delivering a distinctly local sense of warmth, personality and connection.
“Our goal is to give guests a premium, comfortable and memorable base from which to experience it all.”
With this opening, voco’s portfolio in the region expands further, joining existing locations in Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Gosford, Hunter Valley, Melbourne, and Queenstown. Globally, the brand has surpassed 100 open hotels.
Earlier this month, IHG partnered with Fuji Kyuko to transform Hotel Mount Fuji into Japan’s third Vignette Collection property.
