The hotel will join the Vignette Collection brand in March this year. Vignette Collection will be IHG’s second luxury and lifestyle brand to debut in South East Asia following the Kimpton brand.

Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok hotel opened in 2020.

Lim added: “We have developed a strong working relationship with the team at Siam Sindhorn, working closely together on Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok which became the talk of the town when it launched in the middle of the pandemic.

“We are seeing increased interest from owners to bring their world-class and independent hotels into the Vignette Collection as each property’s distinctive identity will be celebrated while enjoying the power of IHG’s global scale.

“We will open our second Vignette Collection hotel in Pattaya, Thailand in the next few years and expect to attract more than 100 Vignette Collection hotels globally in ten years.”

Currently, IHG operates 29 hotels across eight brands in Thailand, and another 34 properties in the pipeline.

Last month, IHG unveiled its first Vignette Collection property, Hotel X Brisbane Fortitude Valley, in Brisbane, Australia.
