IHG Hotels & Resorts has opened its first property in Austria under its boutique hotel brand, Hotel Indigo.
The new Hotel Indigo Vienna – Naschmarkt is located in a short walk distance from the ‘Margareten’ district, the city’s historic centre.
The hotel features 158 guest rooms, an onsite fitness centre, along with a 1442ft2 meeting room on the ground floor.
At the entrance of the hotel, guests will have a long corridor with green plants and a hidden hotel lobby and public space.
The property also has a rooftop garden helping to contribute to biodiversity that surrounds the hotel.
It has an onsite restaurant, Pigment, and a lobby bar on the ground floor.
IHG stated that Hotel Indigo Vienna – Naschmarkt has a tropical themed wallpaper rich plant-inspired artwork on the walls that reflects the story of the secret gardens and hidden treasures of the district.
Hotel Indigo Vienna – Naschmarkt general manager Stefanie Augustin said: “We are pleased to open our doors and accept our first guests into the first Hotel Indigo in Austria.
“We sit in the heart of the surrounding neighbourhood and strive to make all the locals proud, by helping to bring a bit of that external story in so guests can truly experience what Vienna has to offer.”
IHG has more than 6,000 open hotels in over 100 countries along with more than 1,800 hotels under development.
Recently, the company signed a franchise agreement with Geci Group to open InterContinental Tirana, a brand debut for InterContinental Hotels & Resorts in Albania.
