Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has opened its first property under the Vivanta brand in Jammu in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

Vivanta Jammu, City Centre, which offers a panoramic view of the Himalayas, features 90 rooms and suites.

IHCL managing director and CEO Puneet Chhatwal said: “With the opening of this hotel, IHCL now has a presence in the gateway city of Jammu and Kashmir.

“Jammu an emerging city, is an important economic centre with a thriving tourism industry. This also extends our itinerary in the union territory with our existing hotels in Srinagar and Katra.

“We are delighted to launch Vivanta Jammu, City Centre which will be an integral part of the city’s landscape.”

Situated at Residency Road, near the Raghunath temple, the hotel also includes 3,800ft² of banqueting space, suitable for meetings and social gatherings.

The dining options at Vivanta Jammu, City Centre include Mynt, an all-day restaurant, the Grill, a speciality restaurant and a bar called Wink.

With the new addition, IHCL will now have five hotels in Jammu and Kashmir’s union territory. This includes one hotel under development.

Recently, the company and Ambuja Neotia Group signed a new deal for Taj Ganga Kutir Resort and Spa in Raichak, West Bengal, India.
