Saraca Hotels & Resorts has terminated its association with Thailand’s Lebua Hotels, a move that will remove Lebua’s presence in India, ET Hospitality World has reported.

With this decision, Saraca has commenced the new year by transitioning its Lucknow and Corbett hotels to independent operations, effective from 1 January 2024.

The company is actively exploring new partnerships and is in discussions with potential partners for its properties.

Saraca Hotels is also in the process of establishing two luxury properties, with one in Corbett and another in Sri Lanka, both slated to open by the end of the year.

The Sri Lankan resort will feature 70 rooms on Mirissa Beach, while the Corbett property will boast 180 luxury rooms.

Saraca Hotels South Asia chief operating officer Amit Razdan was quoted by the news agency as saying: “Both the Lucknow and Corbett properties enjoy a unique place in terms of their hospitality offerings and have been quite successful in their respective locations.

“While the Lucknow property is known for its boutique classic heritage character in the centre of the city, the Corbett property is boutique and “true to nature” to the wilderness destination, he added.

“Apart from these two hotels, the hotel company also operates a seven-room boutique heritage hotel Fort Tiracol in Goa.”

Razdan explained that the company is in talks with various international hotel brands for branding and management tie-up for both these properties.

The company is positioning itself for growth and brand diversification in the luxury hotel segment.

In addition to its expansion plans, Saraca Hotels & Resorts has introduced the Saraca Cup Derby Race, scheduled for 28 January 2024 at the Lucknow Race Course.

Razdan anticipates that the event will become a yearly attraction, celebrating equestrian prowess and attracting the elite of the city.

The event will also be a culinary showcase, with Saraca Hotels’ senior chefs serving signature dishes from the group’s renowned restaurants, including Azrak, Asian Table, 1936 Ristorante, Saraca Rooftop Lounge, and Le Petit Cafe.
