Ishraq Hospitality, a division of Mohammed and Obaid Al Mulla Group, has deployed Exterity’s Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) and digital signage system at two of its hotels in Dubai.
The hotels are Holiday Inn Dubai Al-Maktoum Airport and the adjacent Staybridge Suites Dubai Al-Maktoum Airport.
They are located close to both the airport and to Dubai’s central transportation hub in a contemporary hotel campus.
Exterity, a VITEC company, said that the deployment will help the hotels to meet the needs of modern, independent business travellers who seek both comfort and ease while on the go.
Exterity Middle East hospitality regional sales manager Victor Hasan said: “With travel bans beginning to ease and travellers preparing for hotel stays worldwide once again, there is an expectation that hospitality venues be technologically advanced to assure guests of a welcome, comfortable and ‘safe-as-home’ experience.
“The upgrade undertaken by Holiday Inn and Staybridge Suites Dubai Al-Maktoum Airport highlights the importance of hoteliers investing in cutting-edge IPTV and video communications to deliver modern guest experiences.”

By GlobalDataThe end-to-end, fully integrated Exterity IPTV system is developed to offer 125 channels of premium TV content.
It also provides hotel-branded infomercials to the 1,000 screens across the 606 rooms and suites, in addition to public areas such as lobbies, bars and meeting rooms.
Through internet access, the guests at the hotels will also have option to connect to the IPTV system using their own mobile devices to access additional on-demand video services.
By powering digital signage screens, the Exterity solution provides wayfinding and other information across both the Holiday Inn and Staybridge Suites to the guests.
