Hospitality company ITC Hotels is set to expand the footprint of its Welcomhotel brand in the country.

The brand will open three additional properties in the states of Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh, the Business Standard reported.

An agreement was recently signed to open a 136-room hotel in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. Spread across seven acres, the Welcomhotel Gwalior property is expected to open by 2025.

In Manali, Himachal Pradesh, the brand will open a 46-key hotel in the coming months. The Welcomhotel By ITC Hotels Hamsa, which will be spread across eight acres in the village of Burua, Manali, will cater to both adventure and leisure travellers.

With easy access to drives, hikes, scenery and ski slopes, the hotel is expected to serve as a gateway for guests to explore the Greater Himalayas. It will be surrounded by apple orchards and will feature two food and beverage outlets.

A hotel will also be operated in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, under a management contract with Unique Hotels and Restaurants. The 78-key Dehradun Hotel will be opened following the completion of the ongoing renovation of the existing property.

ITC Hotels divisional chief executive Anil Chadha said: “The signing of more properties under the upper upscale brand Welcomhotel is in line with ITC Hotels’ expansion plan to take our brand and services to tier II markets in addition to prime metro cities.”

The company is also opening a hotel under its Storii by ITC Hotels brand in the village of Naina Tikkar, Sirmaur, Himachal Pradesh. Surrounded by forests, the boutique hotel will provide a 360° view of Churdaar peaks.

Last month, ITC Hotels opened its first property under the Mementos brand. The Mementos by ITC Hotels, Ekaaya, Udaipur is a hillside resort spread across 50 acres and features 117 villas.
