US-based real estate developer Postcard Properties has collaborated with flexible accommodations provider Kasa to manage Hotel Castro.

Designed by Postcard Properties, the newly constructed 12-room hotel is located in the Castro District of San Francisco. It is set to open in June this year.

The 6,000ft2 facility, which is claimed to be the first of its kind in the Castro District, will feature a rooftop lounge, private guest room balconies, and a Lobby Bar.

Postcard Properties managing partner Gannon Tidwell said: “Everything about this project is influenced by the Castro’s storied history.

“It’s the inspiration behind the architecture, the décor, and we will be working with members of the community as much as possible to bring the experience together.”

Under the partnership, Kasa will be responsible to supervise the daily operations of the hotel.

Kasa will bring its virtual service model to the hotel to enable the support staff to provide round-the-clock service for the guests.

Using its proprietary technology, the company will provide guests with complete access to check-in, check-out, housekeeping, room service and other hotel amenities through the digital channels.

Kasa strategic finance senior director Mike Millas said: “We look forward to using all the tools at Kasa’s disposal—our technology, our experience, our local roots—to offer guests unique moments at this beautiful property.

“The Hotel Castro is an exciting expansion of our boutique hotel management platform, and we’re thrilled to bring our distinct vision of world-class hospitality to this world-class neighbourhood.”
