US-based hospitality brand Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants has expanded its portfolio with the opening of Kimpton Virgilio, its first boutique hotel in Mexico City, Mexico.

The new establishment aims to provide guests with highly personalised experiences and a unique gastronomic offering.

Kimpton Virgilio Mexico City features 48 rooms tailored for both short and long stays and is designed to reflect the city’s vibe and culture.

The rooms at Kimpton Virgilio, designed by Arquitectura de Interiores Studio, showcase a modern Mexican aesthetic.

The boutique hotel has also incorporated local craftsmen, from the furniture to the artwork, to create an authentic local ambience.

Kimpton Virgilio general manager Erick Vargas said: “We want every visitor to feel comfortable and close to multiple experiences. We will surprise all our guests with a service designed with each visitor in mind before, during and after their stay.”

Kimpton Virgilio executive chef Carlos Juárez said: “In Pepe, we want to celebrate originality, the exploration of the new and the redefinition of what is already known, so every visitor will enjoy the flavours of Spain from a different creative proposal, with a high level of service, amid music and an atmosphere full of fun and warmth.”

The property was developed by ZKC, an investment fund with a focus on real estate in Mexico City, positioning the hotel as a hub in the Polanquito area for those seeking new experiences with a sophisticated local touch.
