The property in Tamil Nadu, ‘The Madurai signing, Lemon Tree Premier’, will have 100 rooms. It will also include a restaurant, banquet facilities, a meeting room, a fitness centre and a swimming pool.
Lemon Tree said the hotel is expected to benefit from good connectivity to major transport hubs and is intended to serve both business and leisure guests.
Lemon Tree Hotels president Vishvapreet Singh Cheema said: “Madurai is a prominent cultural, pilgrimage and commercial centre in Tamil Nadu, where deep-rooted heritage meets a rapidly evolving business landscape.
“The addition of a Lemon Tree Premier in the city enables us to serve strong demand from both corporate and leisure travellers with a refined, full-service offering.
“This signing directly supports our strategy of deepening our footprint across South India’s high-potential urban markets.”
With the Madurai addition, the group’s portfolio in Tamil Nadu rises to eight properties, comprising five operating hotels and three projects under development.
Meanwhile, Keys Select by Lemon Tree Hotels, Mcleodganj, Himachal Pradesh, will feature 45 rooms. It will also include a restaurant, meeting room, and other facilities such as a swimming pool and fitness centre.
After this signing, the group’s presence in Himachal Pradesh will total 12 hotels, including four operational properties and eight in the pipeline.
