AI‑based commercial operating system Lighthouse has partnered with Bowerbird Technologies, a company specialising in copyright enforcement for hotels.

The collaboration targets rate parity issues caused by third parties, notably listing hotel rooms without permission and offering prices below the hotel’s own channels.

This practice pushes revenue towards uncontrolled intermediaries and forces hotels to raise bids on paid search for their own brand terms, increasing pay-per-click (PPC) costs while losing direct bookings to those same sellers.

Bowerbird Technologies CEO Richard Munro said: “Unauthorised listings quietly erode brand trust, push up acquisition costs and divert revenue hotels have already earned. Together, we can solve this at a scale the industry has never seen.”

Lighthouse’s Parity Insight tool uses AI to track rate parity in real time across hundreds of distribution channels.

It highlights not just isolated mismatches but recurring offenders that account for the most significant parity loss across a hotel group.

Revenue and distribution teams get a single view of where leakage occurs, how often it happens and which properties are affected.

Once those repeat offenders are identified, Bowerbird uses existing copyright mechanisms to remove listings from unauthorised channels and monitor them to prevent reappearance, creating a detect‑and‑enforce loop.

Radisson Hotel Group was among the first to test the combined service.

In a pilot, all targeted unauthorised sellers were removed within scope and parity loss was reduced by around 25%, according to Lighthouse.

Lighthouse strategic accounts and partnerships vice-president Bill Daviau said: “Hotels have watched parity slipping for years. What’s been missing is the ability to pinpoint the repeat offenders and act.

“Parity Insight gives groups that intelligence across their entire portfolio. Bowerbird turns it into enforcement.”

Last month, Lighthouse acquired AI visibility and optimisation platform Hotelrank.ai to bolster discoverability analytics.
