Loews’ wholly owned subsidiary Loews Hotels & Co has officially opened the Loews Arlington Hotel and Convention Center in Texas, US.

This property is Loews Hotels & Co’s second and claimed to be the largest hotel to open in Arlington.

Located at 888 Nolan Ryan Expressway in Arlington, the 21-story hotel features 888 guest rooms and luxury suites.

It is strategically positioned between Dallas and Fort Worth, only ten minutes from the DFW International Airport. It is also located between Globe Life Field and AT&T Stadium.

The hotel’s connection to the new Arlington Convention Center, operated by Loews Hotels & Co, and the existing Live! by Loews Hotel, creates a combined offering of 1,188 rooms and nearly 300,000ft² of meeting space.

Loews’ new hotel also features 266,000ft² of indoor and outdoor meeting and convention space, which includes a ballroom spanning 51,000ft².

The hotel’s Event Lawn and various meeting rooms can accommodate up to 5,000 guests.

Loews Arlington Hotel has a total of five restaurants and lounges, including Farena, an Italian restaurant featuring wood-fired stone pizza ovens and an in-house Pasta Lab.

The other dining options include Veranda, an al fresco extension of Farena, Tomar El Sol, a coffee shop, named ‘Railbird’, as well as a lobby bar and lounge.

Another pan-Asian fusion concept, named Soy Cowboy, by Berg Hospitality, is set to open later this summer (June to August).

The hotel’s amenities further include a full-service Spa and Salon, a resort-style beach club with pools, cabanas, fire pits, a water slide, and a man-made sandy beach.

Loews Hotels & Co president and CEO Alex Tisch said: “This opening marks a new day for the meetings and events business in North Texas with the addition of a new resort in the sports and entertainment capital of the world.”

Opening of Loews Arlington Hotel and Convention Center is a part of the second phase of Arlington’s Entertainment District development, following the success of Texas Live!, Live! by Loews – Arlington, and the Rangers’ Globe Life Field.

The hotel project saw collaboration with HKS as the architect, Looney & Associates for interior design, construction by JE Dunn and contributions from Arlington’s Con-Real and Nehmer.
