Lowe and Atlas Hotels concluded the comprehensive renovation and repositioning of the 675-room urban resort hotel and conference centre located on Hotel Circle North in Mission Valley, San Diego, US.
For the property that included reducing the number of hotel rooms from 954 to 675, Lowe created a mixed-use programme.
This was aimed at adding to the outdoor recreation and gathering places in addition to bringing residences to the site.
Lowe co-CEO Rob Lowe said: “Our reveal of the new Town and Country resort is the culmination of several years of thoughtful design and development work to realise our vision for this expansive property as a modern resort destination, equally attractive to leisure, business and convention visitors.
“Our redevelopment programme improved every aspect of the property including adding new recreation elements, a array of top-flight dining outlets, a redesigned lobby and entrance, updated event and meeting spaces and most importantly the renovation of every spacious guest room and suite as fresh, contemporary and comfortable spaces.”
Throughout the resort, the lobby and public areas through to the guest rooms feature the colour palette, furnishings and design elements.
All the guest rooms and suites of the properties have been renovated. The resort features a mix of one- and two-bedrooms, and five top-floor Skyline suites of approximately 1,100ft², two swimming pools, a penthouse fitness centre.
It also has a restaurant called Arlo and 258,000ft² of event and meeting space.
Town and Country’s property design team was Gensler which collaborated with Sixteenfifty Creative Intelligence, while HFS Concepts4 created the room interiors.
Burton Landscape Architecture Studio developed the new landscaping plan for Town and Country which is managed by Lowe’s hotel and resort management affiliate, CoralTree Hospitality.
