Global hospitality major Marriot has completed a $20m renovation of Savannah Marriott Riverfront hotel.
As part of the renovation, guestrooms, meeting and event space, and public spaces in the hotel have been upgraded.
The creative meeting spaces and lower lobby of the hotel have also been renovated.
The Savannah Marriott Riverfront is located on the historic riverfront, connected to the River Street through Marriott Riverwalk.
Savannah Marriott Riverfront Sales and Marketing director Jody McIntyre said: “The ideas behind the redesign were very much based on the characteristics of Savannah and Southern charm, mixed with hospitality, to create a new sense of arrival and a keen sense of the Southern culture.
“Marriott hotels are all about the hotel experiences consumers want, no matter what generation you’re from, so we’re thrilled to be introducing spaces that work for the locals as much as it does for those visiting the city, both millennials and non-millennials.”
The company modernised each guestroom featuring custom furnishings, bedding, large bathrooms and USB plug points next to the nightstand outlets.
Amenities offered at the hotel include Magnolia Spa and the 24-hour fitness centre.
Savannah Marriott Riverfront features junior and executive suites as well as concierge level rooms with a private lounge.
The hotel also includes Blue bistro and the Atrium Bar to offer dining and drink options to guests.
Furthermore, it offers 40,000ft2 of space for flexible meetings and events.
