Marriott Hotels has expanded its footprint in Latin America by opening Barranquilla Marriott Hotel in Colombia.
The 191-room property features several food, and beverage outlets, an outdoor pool, along with meeting space.

Marriott International Caribbean and Latin America (CALA) president Brian King said: “Colombia is a destination known for its lively and rich culture with Barranquilla being a bustling seaport and the capital of Cumbia music. We are excited to expand the company’s presence in the country with the opening of Barranquilla Marriott Hotel.”
“Marriott Hotels has always been a place where guests can seamlessly blend work and relaxation, and Barranquilla, with its vibrant business community, charming heritage, and everchanging food scene, all perfectly located on the banks of the Magdalena River, is the ideal home to this new state-of-the art hotel.”
The hotel features 191 guest rooms and nine suites. Each room has technology-empowered work surfaces, open closets, bathrooms, and LED TVs.

Amira Restaurant, whose name pays respect to the women who have improved the culinary culture of the city, will delights diners with local cuisine.
Meira Café will offer a wide array of Colombian coffee flavours, and local bread and pastries.
The property also features Rum Room that will give customers access to liquors produced in areas that grow sugarcane.
Other amenities include a ‘state-of-the-art’ fitness centre, laundry service, outdoor swimming pool, and special places for pets.
With over 19,000 ft2 of meeting space including a ballroom for 750 people, the hotel could also house business or social gatherings.
