The Movie Colony Hotel, owned and operated by Pacifica Host Hotels, has re-opened after successfully completing an extensive renovation programme.
Designed by architect Albert Frey in 1935, the Movie Colony Hotel was closed in 2015 for the makeover.
Under the programme, the original design has been recreated and enhanced for better guest experience.
The two storey townhouses have been redesigned as duplex suites and the sunlit pool has been enhanced with bright textile accents in yellow and white. Warm woods, sofas and chairs have also been added across the public areas.
Darrall Design Consultants Paul Darrall said: “The whole premise of revitalising this property was to make necessary improvements so the hotel re-establishes itself as one of the keynote properties in the Desert.”
The hotel features 16 guest rooms with pillow top beds, Keurig coffee makers and plantation shutters, as well as patios or balconies.
