
NEOM board of directors has unveiled plans for the development of Zardun, a new luxury ecotourism resort, overlooking the waters of Gulf of Aqaba, Saudi Arabia.
The resort will be designed to integrate contemporary opulence with natural environment, the company said.
It will be an exclusive sanctuary resort, featuring four ultra-luxury signature buildings.
The resort will span 4km², from the mountains to the seashore, and include a state-of-the-art experience centre with a 360-degree observation deck.
The resort will host three boutique hotels, offering a total of 100 rooms and suites.
Guests will have the opportunity to engage in activities such as trekking, mountain biking, and rock climbing, along with leisure pursuits such as stargazing, meditation and yoga.

By GlobalDataZardun’s sustainability strategy will focus on environmental stewardship, including the creation of oases to support diverse habitats and the reintroduction of native flora and fauna.
Along its coast, the luxury resort will also support the conservation of coral reefs in the Gulf of Aqaba.
Last November, NEOM’s board announced plans for a luxury coastal tourism destination called Epicon, to be located on the Gulf of Aqaba.
Epicon will have two towers, one standing at 225 metres (m) and the other at 275m. These towers will house a hotel with 41 rooms and luxury residences as well as 14 suites and apartments.
It has been conceived to meet all the needs of guests and residents, who enjoy dining at destination restaurants, undergo wellness treatments at the spa and relax at the beach club.
