
Palm Springs Preferred Small Hotels, an association of independently owned boutique hotels in California, US, has announced the launch of several new boutique hotels and revamped properties.
The locally owned establishments in Palm Springs are designed to cater to both first-time and repeat guests. The city has more than 80 small boutique hotels.
Palm Springs Preferred Small Hotels chairman Michael Green said: “Our desert paradise is constantly evolving. New hotels add personality and vibrancy to our community.”
The properties that opened/reopened their doors this year include The Stardust Hotel, The Cactai, Terra Palm Springs, El Noa Noa and Casa Oliver.
The Stardust Hotel is a 1955 mid-century property and has been revived by owners Jessica and Tim Spry, featuring its original pink exterior.
The Cactai was originally the Los Dolores in the late 1940s. Now owned by three friends, the hotel has undergone a complete revitalisation, including AI management for guest convenience.

El Noa Noa is an eight-room boutique hotel and was once owned by the singer-songwriter Juan Gabriel. Its facilities such as balconies, bathtubs, a pool, and the hotel’s wellness space, Pura Vida.
Casa Oliver offers a variety of accommodations and amenities, including a revamped garden, a 24/7 heated outdoor pool, a hot tub, a fire pit, and an indoor maze with playrooms.
Last year, The Skylark with 28 rooms and the pet-friendly Muse Hotel Palm Springs with nine rooms opened.
