Starwood Hotels & Resorts has signed a deal with Majid Al Futtaim Properties to launch its Westin and Le Méridien hotel brands in Bahrain.
The Westin Bahrain City Centre and Le Méridien Bahrain City Centre will be located in the centre of Manama, and will add 460 rooms to Starwood’s portfolio in the country. They are scheduled for launch in July.
Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Europe, Africa and Middle East president Michael Wale said: "We look forward to expanding our footprint here with the launch of these two distinct lifestyle brands later this year."
The Westin Bahrain City Centre will have 200 guest rooms including six executive suites and a presidential suite, with all rooms featuring a Westin Heavenly bed and bath, shower and robe, along with the latest in-room technology.
The hotel will feature five dining venues, along with a modern event space of over 6,500ft². Other amenities include The Heavenly Spa by Westin, the WestinWORKOUT and SuperfoodsRX menu.
Starwood’s Le Méridien Bahrain City Centre will feature 260 contemporary guest rooms including 18 executive suites and a presidential suite, all offering the signature Le Méridien Bed.
