Arbor Lodging Partners has acquired Hilton Garden Inn Oakland/San Leandro in San Leandro, California, US for an undisclosed amount.

The acquisition of the 119-room select-service hotel marks Arbor’s entry into the San Francisco Bay Area.

Located in the East Bay area, the Hilton Garden Inn Oakland/San Leandro houses guest rooms, an indoor pool, whirlpool and fitness center.

Spread over an area of around 1,300ft2, the hotel’s meeting space can accommodate up to 100 people.

The Garden Grille & Bar restaurant at the hotel will serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Arbor Lodging Partners CEO Vamsi Bonthala said: “The booming technology industry, world-class universities, and cultural institutions of the Bay Area combine to make it attractive for hotel investment.

Arbor plans to invest more than $4m in upgrades to the hotel.

Arbor’s management affiliate NVN Hotels will take the responsibility to manage the hotel, effective immediately.

Arbor Lodging Partners focuses on acquiring underperforming hotels that can be enhanced through renovations and the implementation of operational efficiencies to provide attractive returns.
