Autograph Collection Hotels opens three new properties in the US

Marriott International's Autograph Collection Hotels has opened three new hotels in the US, bringing the brand closer to its 100th property.

Marriott International’s Autograph Collection Hotels has opened three new hotels in the US, bringing the brand closer to its 100th property.

The new properties of Autograph Collection Hotels, which currently operates 93 hotels worldwide, are The Envoy in Boston, Grand Bohemian Hotel Mountain Brook, Birmingham, and The Citizen in Sacramento.

Autograph Collection Hotels vice-president Julius Robinson said: "We are very pleased to welcome these three exceptional hotels to our rapidly growing portfolio.

"Our diverse, global and ever-growing collection includes many of the world’s top independently owned hotels and resorts, solidifying the brand as an established leader in the independent hotel space."

The Envoy in Boston, Massachusetts features 136 rooms designed with handcrafted, artisan-style décor and offers tech-forward amenities.

"We are very pleased to welcome these three exceptional hotels to our rapidly growing portfolio."

The 100 room Grand Bohemian Hotel Mountain Brook is located in the Mountain Brook suburb of Birmingham, Alabama.

Featuring a Grand Bohemian Art Gallery, the hotel showcases works of internationally recognised artists, including Georgian glass artist Licha Ochoa, and French expressionist Jean Claude Roy.

In addition, other features of the hostel include the signature Poseidon Spa, a rooftop restaurant and 12,630ft² of event space.

Located in the California Life Insurance Building, The Citizen features unique rooms and a seasonal restaurant, Grange Restaurant and Bar that incorporates fresh and local ingredients.

It also features 9,000ft² of meeting space, including a 3,000ft² tented roof deck.

In September, Marriott announced that Hanwha Hotels & Resorts brand’s The Plaza in Korea will join its Autograph Collection Hotels in 2016.

According to the company, it will allow The Plaza to benefit from Marriott’s global sales and marketing channels, Marriott Rewards customer loyalty programme, and its management and franchise expertise.
