The Press Hotel

Marriott International’s portfolio of hotels, Autograph Collection, is set to add a new property to its portfolio in Portland, Maine, US, becoming the collection’s 79th property worldwide.

Scheduled to open in May 2015, the new 110-room Press Hotel would be Portland’s first lifestyle, boutique hotel and will be managed by Trust Hospitality.

Each bathroom at the hotel will feature a reeded glass door, while wood floors will have herringbone area rugs. Local artist Angela Adams has designed a woven wall tapestry exclusively for the hotel.

The property will feature a 65-seat restaurant MC UNION, and the lobby bar, The Inkwell.

By teaming up with Portland institutions including Maine College of Art, The Telling Room, the Portland Public Library and The Salt Institute the Press Hotel will offer insider access to some of the city’s unique entertainment to the guests.
