
Real estate and development company Bennett Hospitality broke ground on a $101m hotel project at King Street and Marion Square, Charleston, US.
The 200,000ft², eight-storey luxury hotel will feature 185 guest rooms, a lobby entrance off King Street, a bi-level, fine-dining restaurant, and a separate full bar and lounge area.
Amenities offered include a rooftop pool with cabanas and a bar, along with a full-service spa, meeting space and a ballroom.
Set for completion in 28 months, the latest hotel project is expected to create 350 jobs in Charleston.
Charleston Mayor Joseph Riley Jr said: "The new hotel at King Street on Marion Square being developed by Michael Bennett will be a stunningly beautiful building.
