Arizona-based hospitality firm Best Western International has introduced a new eco-friendly resort, the BEST WESTERN PREMIER The Haven, Ipoh in Malaysia.
According to Best Western, the new resort, which is situated among the jungle-clad hills of the Malay Peninsula, is ideal for nature lovers and those in search of a place to unwind.
The new resort has 100 rooms and suites featuring flat-screen TVs and complimentary Wi-Fi.
The property also features an array of leisure facilities including a four-level lagoon-style swimming pool, tropical gardens, a jogging track, barbecue and picnic areas, a gymnasium, badminton and tennis courts, a children’s playground, café and restaurant.
Best Western Asia and Middle East international operations vice president Glenn de Souza said that BEST WESTERN PREMIER The Haven, Ipoh offers a haven of peace set among the ancient jungles of Ipoh.
"And the resort’s excellent energy-saving initiatives mean guests will have peace of mind, knowing their stay is in balance and harmony with the surrounding environment," he added.

According to the hospitality firm the resort is one of the first properties in Malaysia to use 100% renewable energy, by harnessing the power of the wind and sun. The resort also harvests rainwater to use in the property.
The new property is the firm’s fourth hotel in Malaysia, following existing properties in Kuala Lumpur, Kota Kinabalu and Sandakan.
Best Western International is also planning to expand its presence across the region in the coming months and years with the opening of new hotels in Melaka, Port Klang, Shah Alam, Petaling Jaya and the Genting Highlands.
