Carlson Rezidor has expanded its presence in Russia with the opening of the new Radisson Blu Hotel, Chelyabinsk.
The new hotel, which is situated in the centre of the city of Chelyabinsk, is surrounded by the Gagarin City Park.

Designed by Swedish designer Christian Lundwall, the hotel’s 211 rooms are themed as Ocean, Urban and New York Mansions, and all feature signature Radisson Blu services including free high-speed internet along with individual air conditioning systems and LCD flat-screen televisions.
Radisson Blu Hotel, Chelyabinsk general manager Benjamin Eichner said that the hotel is a stylish new addition to the hospitality market in Chelyabinsk.
"Conveniently situated in the city’s business district, it represents a sophisticated and contemporary retreat," Eichner added.
Radisson Blu Hotel, Chelyabinsk is said to be ideal for MICE organisers, with its Experience Meetings concept for small or large events across seven meeting rooms and one 578m² ballroom with the capacity to accommodate around 650 people.

Paulaner Brauhaus restaurant at the hotel serves traditional Bavarian cuisine, and the property also features a ChiChi cocktail bar in the lobby.
Other amenities at the hotel include the PACE fitness centre and the Organica Day Spa including a 15m swimming pool, a heated Jacuzzi and views of the hotel’s winter garden.
Chelyabinsk, which is located between the Ural Mountains and Siberia, is a business and industrial centre and also offers activities like hiking, skating, horse riding and paintballing.
Currently, Carlson Rezidor’s operational portfolio in the region comprises 51 hotels with over 13,300 rooms.
