Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group has unveiled plans to open more than 50 new properties within five years in India.
Focused on South and West India, the new properties will be developed in state capitals and emerging secondary and tertiary cities.
Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group South Asia CEO Raj Rana said: "We have established a nationwide presence that has been built upon a deep understanding of this key market.
"Having earned our position as the international leader in India’s hospitality industry, we will further extend our brands and geographic presence.
"Our team is stronger than ever before and we are positioned to seize the growth opportunities. We intend to have a hotel in every major city in India with landmark hotels in every state capital."
The group operates 117 properties in India and is developing properties across 45 cities in the country, including 14 state capitals.

By GlobalDataCarlson Rezidor intends to increase its portfolio to more than 170 hotels within the next five years in the country.
Carlson Rezidor’s current Indian brand portfolio includes the Radisson Blu, Radisson, Park Plaza, Park Inn by Radisson and Country Inns & Suites By Carlson brands. Under expansion, the group will introduce its Radisson Red and Quorvus Collection.
The group opened ten and signed six new hotels in the country in 2014 and the first quarter of 2015. It plans to open eight or nine hotels and sign 12-15 new hotels in cities across the country in the next few months.
Carlson Rezidor operates 1,350 hotels in 105 countries and territories.
