Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group has launched the first dual branded hotel in the Nordics region, the Radisson Blu Hotel, Oslo Alna and the Park Inn by Radisson Hotel & Conference Centre Oslo Alna.
The new hotel is situated in the district of Alna, which is said to be one of the most dynamic development areas in the Norwegian capital city.
The property features two hotels in a single building that jointly offer 348 rooms and suites, of which the upper upscale Radisson Blu features 142 rooms and the mid-market Park Inn by Radisson has 206 rooms.
Certain amenities at the property, such as the restaurant, bar, lounges and reception, are shared.
The hotels’ general manager Olav Brommeland said that combining Radisson Blu and Park Inn by Radisson under one roof is a brilliant concept.
"Our highly experienced team is proud to present refreshing hotels and deliver our ‘Yes I Can’ service philosophy," Brommeland added.
Free high speed Wi-Fi, flat screen televisions, Jensen beds, and room service are offered across all rooms.
Other amenities at the hotels include 2,000m² of meeting facilities with the capacity to accommodate around 800 delegates, MICE facilities, 21 flexible meeting rooms with natural daylight as well as the signature concept of Smart Meetings & Events facilities.
Rezidor The Nordics area vice president Thomas Engelhart said, "We are proud to further develop our position as a leading international hotel chain – the Radisson Blu and Park Inn by Radisson Oslo Alna are a great addition to our Nordic portfolio and will contribute to the development of one of Oslo’s most exciting areas."
Currently, Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group’s portfolio includes over 1,340 hotels in operation and under development across 105 countries.
The group is planning to increase its portfolio to around 1,500 hotels in operation and under development by 2015.
