As part of the contract, Zhaoqing Yuhao Properties will operate the Centara Resort Zhaoqing, which is located in the southern Chinese province of Guangdong.
The 250-room Centara Resort Zhaoqing will be located in Zhaoqing city in Guangdong province.
The four-star resort will offer a resort-style hotel experience to guests and provides amenities including a water park complete with swimming pools and a pool bar.
Additional facilities include three dining venues, a fitness centre and a Spa Cenvaree, as well as a kid’s club and meeting facilities including an 800m² ballroom.
According to the company, Centara Resort Zhaoqing, which is slated for opening during the fourth quarter of 2017, will join its portfolio of 72 hotels either operating or under development in ten countries.
Centara Hotels & Resorts senior vice-president of sales and marketing Chris Bailey said to TTG Asia: "I believe this resort is an ideal start for our expansion in China, and it provides a valuable synergy with our other Centara properties around the world."
The hotel is in proximity to some of China’s bustling areas, including Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hong Kong and Macau. As the property is located close to these areas, Zhaoqing is expected to serve as a convenient travel hub for visitors to southeastern China.
