DoubleTree by Hilton has added two former Mint Hotels to its hotel brand. The UK properties are now operating as the 285-room DoubleTree by Hilton Manchester-Piccadilly and the 333-room DoubleTree by Hilton Leeds City Centre, and make up two of eight former Mint Hotels in the UK and the Netherlands transferring to the DoubleTree by Hilton and Hilton Garden Inn brands.

The city centre properties in Manchester and Leeds are the latest additions to the Hilton Worldwide European portfolio of more than 225 hotels. Both hotels feature floor-to-ceiling windows in each guestroom, meeting room and all bars and restaurants.

The properties offer flexible and neutrally designed meeting rooms that are ideal for small meetings, according to Hilton. When combined, the meeting rooms can accommodate large events of more than 200 guests in Manchester and over 300 guests in Leeds.

The DoubleTree by Hilton Manchester-Piccadilly has a Skylounge that can be reserved for private receptions, with city skyline views, for up to 60 guests.

Guestrooms and suites at each hotel feature a variety of in-room amenities including an Apple iMac computer, work desks and a gourmet in-room coffee and tea service.

Hilton Worldwide area president – Europe Simon Vincent said that DoubleTree by Hilton has more than 25 hotels operating in the UK and Europe, and over 20 projects are under development across the region.
