Hilton Worldwide has opened a new DoubleTree by Hilton property in Zanzibar, the semi-autonomous region of Tanzania, East Africa.
DoubleTree by Hilton Zanzibar – Stone Town, is the group’s third property in Tanzania. It is located 64km off the mainland coast.
It features a total of 58 rooms, 13 of which are deluxe, one accessible, 41 standard rooms, and three one bedroom suites. All feature 40-inch TVs and ergonomic desks.
The hotel also has eight meeting rooms and breakout spaces, a complimentary business centre, A / V resources and full catering services.
Commenting on the launch, DoubleTree by Hilton global head John Greenleaf said: "Stone Town is a city of prominent historical and artistic importance, and we are proud to enter as the first internationally branded hotel in the city.
"Our newest hotel offers a perfect marriage of culture and comfort, underscored by DoubleTree by Hilton’s renowned culture of CARE, which stands for ‘create a rewarding experience’. CARE centres on the brand’s warm, welcoming guest service culture that begins with the presentation of a freshly baked chocolate chip cookie upon arrival, and continues through the rest of the guest’s stay."
