
Gansevoort Playa Imbert is to open a new property in Puerto Plata on the north coast of the Dominican Republic on 15 December.
The luxury property consists of 48 suites, comprising one and two-bedroom lofts, three-bedroom apartments with private plunge pools and terraces, and a collection of four-bedroom penthouses, each with a rooftop Jacuzzi.
At the resort’s centre is a three-tiered cascading infinity pool overlooking the beach. A second adults-only pool will open next spring.
Dining at Baia Lounge features Mediterranean and Asian fare. The La Cantina Wine + Cigar Cellar offers wines from around the world and stocked humidor.
Rates range from $595 to $5,000 a night and include breakfast for two along with roundtrip transfers from and to Puerto Plata Airport (POP). Guest can also choose to have breakfast, lunch and dinner added into the rates for an extra $200 a night.
Other luxury amenities include a fitness centre, a spa with hammam-style sauna and a meditation and yoga garden.
