The Grand Hyatt New York in Manhattan, New York, US, has completed its $130m renovation with the installation of two sculptures by artist Jaume Plensa.
The multi-phased renovation has enabled the hotel to offer a 55,000ft2 of events space, ranging from boardrooms to ballrooms.
The hotel also houses the Gallery On Lex, a new 4,400ft2 social event area, featuring colourful panels from German artist Burghard Muller-Dannhausen.
According to the group, the hotel’s 1,306 guestrooms and suites were redesigned with refined hues, lush textures and luxuriant artwork.
The 20 VIP Suites were designed by Looney & Associates to offer guests the impression of either a loft or a modern residence.
The Loft Suites are primarily designed for business travellers, while the Residence Suites offer a softer tone and a neutral feel.

The four Premier Suites, designed by George Wong Design, are based on a pied-a-terre concept and feature two main schemes: uptown and downtown.
According to Hyatt, the Uptown Suites give guests the feeling of a classic Manhattan townhouse, while the Downtown Suites are inspired by the open lofts of New York’s Tribeca neighbourhood, offering light, luminous and airy tones.
Situated on the 16th floor, the rooftop garden-styled Grand Club is a gathering spot for guests, with technology access, productive work areas and food and beverage options.
Grand Hyatt New York originally opened as The Commodore Hotel in 1919 and was reflagged in 1980.
