Hard Rock International has opened its second hotel and casino in Santo Domingo, the capital city of Dominican Republic.

The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Santo Domingo is scheduled to open in late 2017, in collaboration withproperty sales and marketing firm All Inclusive Collection.

The 40-storey hotel features 400 rooms and suites, a 23,000ft² casino, a nightclub overseeing the main pool, and a screening room.

The state-of-the-art casino will feature two bars, including Hard Rock’s signature Centre Bar, high-limit slots, 400 slot machines, and 40 table games.

A private gaming room on the exclusive suite floor will also be available for guests.

Hard Rock International vice president of casino development Nelson Parker said: "The Dominican Republic is the region’s most visited country and continues to be the top performing destination in the Caribbean.

The hotel’s amenites will include 33,000ft² of meeting space, a celebrity chef restaurant, a cigar lounge, a spa and a gym.

Hard Rock International built its first hotel and casino in Punta Cana.
