In collaboration with Trockland Development Group, Hard Rock International has revealed plans to open the Hard Rock Hotel Berlin Checkpoint Charlie in Germany.
Scheduled for launch in 2020, the 372-room property will be adjacent to Checkpoint Charlie in the Mitte district, and will be the company’s first hotel in the country.
Hard Rock International CEO Hamish Dodds said: "The location at Checkpoint Charlie, where East met West, is symbolic of much that is right in the world and aligns well with the values and visions of our brand."
Hard Rock Hotel Berlin Checkpoint Charlie will be a part of a larger multi-use project, which is being developed by Trockland Development Group.
The multi-use project will comprise retail spaces, offices, residences, and a curated exhibition space commemorating Checkpoint Charlie and the Berlin Wall.
Trockland Development Group founder Heskel Nathaniel said: "The Hard Rock Hotel brand’s presence in this project not only reflects the area’s young and lively character, but also the musical freedom message that is embedded in the culture of Berlin."
