Hilton Dubai

Hilton Worldwide has signed a deal with the hospitality division of Mohammad Omar Bin Haider Holding Group to manage the 535-room hotel at Dubai World Central (DWC).

The hotel will be built at the heart of DWC, which is currently under construction. It is a 145km² master planned urban development being developed around Dubai’s Al Maktoum International Airport.

The development will feature logistics, aviation, commercial, exhibition, humanitarian, residential and other related businesses around the airport.

Scheduled to open in 2019, the hotel is expected be a preferred choice for guests who would like to stay near to the main passenger entrance of the airport.

"The seven floor hotel will feature eight meeting rooms, six boardrooms, a multifunctional ballroom, an all-day dining restaurant, two swimming pools, a spa and a wellness centre."

Dubai World Central Real Estate vice-president Mohammed Al Awadhi said: "This partnership feeds into DWC ‘s wider vision to develop a robust hospitality offering that supports Dubai’s ambition to become a global tourism hub and welcome 20 million tourists into the emirate by 2020.

"Our focus is to provide our partners the necessary infrastructure and facilities that guarantee connectivity and ease of access so they, in turn, can provide their customers with a unique experience.

"We anticipate considerable demand for hotel accommodation not only from passenger flows at the Al Maktoum International Airport and the Expo 2020, but also from business travellers associated with the wider DWC community."

Travellers are expected to benefit from Dubai’s Sheikh Zayed Road, which connects to most tourist attractions in Dubai.

Hilton previously announced it is planning to open the first two Hilton Garden Inn hotels in the UAE, which includes the Hilton Garden Inn Dubai Al Mina and Hilton Garden Inn Dubai Al Muraqabat.
