Hilton Worldwide has signed a new management agreement with PT Bali Ragawisata to open the first Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts property in Indonesia in 2017.
The new 96-villa Waldorf Astoria Bali, which will be Hilton’s fourth hotel in the pipeline in Indonesia, will be located in the Bukit Pandawa precinct in the south of Bali.
Located around 10km from Ngurah Rai International Airport, the Waldorf Astoria Bali will be built on prime cliff-front land situated 40m above sea level and will offer panoramic views of the Indian Ocean.
Hilton Worldwide luxury brands global head John Vanderslice said that Bali is a popular tourist destination renowned for its rich culture and arts.
"Waldorf Astoria Bali will be perfectly placed to offer global luxury travellers a unique and inspirational environment where they can experience True Waldorf Service and unforgettable experiences," Vanderslice added.
The new property, spread over a 13 hectare area, will be designed by SCDA Architects and will feature 96 guestrooms ranging from one-bedroom villas to six-bedroom suite villas as well as two speciality restaurants and a bar.

Waldorf Astoria Bali will be the Waldorf Astoria’s second luxury property in South-East Asia following the launch of Waldorf Astoria Bangkok.
With this opening, Hilton Worldwide will launch its fifth brand in the Indonesian market, joining the Conrad Hotels & Resorts, Hilton Hotels & Resorts, DoubleTree by Hilton Hotels & Resorts and Hilton Garden Inn brands.
The new hotel will also participate in Hilton HHonors, a guest rewards programme allowing members to earn Points & Miles for the same stay and redeem points for free nights at over 4,000 hotels worldwide.
