An affiliate of Hyatt Hotels has entered into a franchise agreement with a McGough Development affiliate for a Hyatt Regency hotel in Bloomington, Minnesota, US.

The 302-room Hyatt Regency Bloomington Central Station hotel will include residential, retail and Class A office components.

Expected to open in early 2016, the hotel will have 17,000ft² of meeting space, including an 8,250ft² ballroom.

It will have a full-service restaurant, bar and lounge, indoor pool, fitness centre, a market and coffee shop, and a business centre.

The property will be managed by Aimbridge Hospitality.

Hyatt Americas real estate and development senior vice president David Tarr said: "We are delighted to enhance Hyatt’s brand presence in the Minneapolis-St. Paul metroplex with the first Hyatt Regency in the city of Bloomington, Minnesota."
