Hyatt Hotels has revamped its mobile app by adding a new feature, which enables guests to find transport from any location to their Hyatt hotel.

Hyatt has become the first hotel brand to integrate its mobile app with Uber, a technology platform that connects riders with transportation on-demand.

With this new feature, guests will have access to an Uber button under the ‘My Reservations’ section of the Hyatt app in more than 100 cities where Hyatt hotels are located and where Uber operates. The feature is accessible to guests throughout their stay.

The app provides guests with available Uber transportation options from their current location to their Hyatt hotel and provides an estimated wait time along with the estimated price of the trip for each option.

"Our guests seek seamlessness on the go, and their feedback drove our approach to Hyatt’s new mobile offerings."

Once a choice is made, the Uber app will open with the destination address automatically preset to the relevant Hyatt hotels address.

Hyatt vice president of eCommerce Ellen Lee said: "We are constantly evolving our online and offline experiences by listening to guests and understanding their needs. Our guests seek seamlessness on the go, and their feedback drove our approach to Hyatt’s new mobile offerings.

"The new designs are overall more intuitive, more visual and more functional. The new app integration with Uber is just one way we’re taking steps out of the process so guests don’t have to open multiple apps to find the hotel information and get there."

The new Uber feature comes on the heels of a newly redesigned Hyatt mobile app as well as a new mobile site.
