Hospitality group Hyatt Hotels has unveiled its flagship Park Hyatt brand hotel in Midtown Manhattan, New York.
Located at 153 West 57th Street between Sixth and Seventh Avenues, Park Hyatt New York is in close proximity to Central Park and the historic Carnegie Hall.
The hotel is located within the first 25 floors of the 90-storey One57 skyscraper, designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Christian de Portzamparc.
The hotel features 210 guestrooms, including 92 premier suites, all with floor-to-ceiling windows.
At 475ft², the standard rooms at Park Hyatt New York are said to be among the largest in New York City.
Hyatt Luxury Brands vice president Katherine Melchior Ray said: "The opening of Park Hyatt New York marks a significant milestone for the Park Hyatt brand, giving it representation in a key market and boosting the brand’s global visibility. It introduces a new way of defining and delivering luxury for both guests and locals."
The entire property is adorned with a collection of 350 artworks from Ellsworth Kelly, Rob Fischer and Robert Longo, among others, with at least ten pieces designed specifically for the hotel.
Luxury amenities include spacious residential-style meeting spaces and an executive boardroom, Spa Nalai, an indoor swimming pool, and a 24/7 fitness centre.
The hotel’s dining facilities include the 70-seat Living Room and a 96-seater American grill. Its Onyx Room, featuring illuminated white onyx walls, can accommodate a seated dinner for 220 or a standing reception for 450.
With the opening of Park Hyatt New York, Hyatt now has eight hotels in Manhattan including Grand Hyatt New York, Andaz Wall Street, Andaz 5th Avenue, Hyatt 48 Lex, Hyatt Union Square, Hyatt Times Square and Hyatt Place Midtown-South.
