US-based hospitality firm Hyatt Hotels has opened a new property, Hyatt Place Tijuana, in Baja California, Mexico.
The new 145-room property is the fourth Hyatt Place hotel in the country, joining Hyatt Place Cuidad del Carmen, Hyatt Place La Paz and Hyatt Place Los Cabos, slated to reopen this year.
Hyatt Hotels Latin America and Caribbean senior vice-president Myles McGourty said: "Tijuana is a vibrant border city, drawing business and leisure travellers to the area from Mexico and the US.
"We believe Hyatt Place Tijuana will bring a new standard to the area and will provide a perfect mix of modern style, seamless service and amenities that will exceed guest expectations."
Hyatt Place Tijuana features around 1,776ft² of meeting and function space, 24-hour gym and 24-hour business centre, equipped with free wireless printers.
In addition, the property features 24/7 Gallery Menu & Market, comprising an all-day-dining restaurant, and a Coffee to Cocktails Bar that offers a wide range of specialty coffees, espresso, premium beer and wines.
Located on Agua Caliente Boulevard, the hotel is in proximity to the Agua Caliente Race Track and Casino, the soccer stadium Estadio Caliente and the Club Campestre Tijuana country club. The new property is also near to the Zona Rio business and financial district, Tijuana International Airport and the US Port of Entry.
Hyatt Place properties are currently located in Costa Rica, Chile, Panama, and Puerto Rico, as well as properties under development in Colombia, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Brazil.
