Hyatt Hotels has introduced its new Hyatt House extended-stay brand in India with the signing of a management agreement for a hotel in Mumbai. The company also signed management agreements for an additional seven full-service and 14 select-service hotels, bringing the total number of Hyatt-branded properties under development in the country to 53.
The 170-room Hyatt House Mumbai will feature a restaurant and bar, meeting rooms, a business centre, a fitness centre and a swimming pool.
The introduction of the Hyatt House concept, which was unveiled in September 2011, signals the company’s continued growth in India. The agreements cover five additional Hyatt brands that include two Andaz hotels in Jaipur and Delhi; one Hyatt hotel in Raipur; 14 Hyatt Places in Chakan, Delhi, Gurgaon (2), Goa, Hampi, Hyderabad, Jamshedpur, Kochi, Mohali, Munnar, Nashik, Sriperumbudur and Thiruvananthapuram; three Hyatt Regency hotels in Raipur, Hyderabad and Neemrana; and two Park Hyatts in Delhi and Jaipur.
The group will open six properties across its Park Hyatt, Hyatt and Hyatt Place brands in India this year: the 209-room Park Hyatt Hyderabad, the 204-room Park Hyatt Chennai, the 104-room Hyatt Raipur, the 116-room Hyatt Place Hampi, the 117-room Hyatt Place Pune, Hinjewadi, and the 200-room Hyatt Place Bangalore, Whitefield.
Hyatt has 53 hotels under development in India and plans to offer its full portfolio of brands throughout the country.
