Andaz Palm Springs

An affiliate of Hyatt Hotels has signed a management contract with Rael Development for an Andaz hotel in Palm Springs, California.

The new 150-room, 17-suite Andaz Palm Springs hotel is set to join current Andaz hotels in resort destinations including Wailea (Maui), Napa (California), and Peninsula Papagayo (Costa Rica), as well as other cities such as London, New York, Los Angeles, Shanghai, and Tokyo.

Reported to be a collection of small buildings and guest room bungalows, the property will be surrounded by two outdoor pools and garden areas on an elevated patio terrace.

The property will be in close proximity to the village centre, convention centre, and Palm Springs International Airport. It will also feature spa services, fitness facility, restaurant and lounge, as well as an elevated poolside retreat and terrace bar.

"The hotel will be an urban oasis, offering personal style, comfort and sophistication synonymous with the Andaz brand."

Approximately 25,000ft² of boutique retail space and intimate indoor and outdoor meeting facilities will occupy the first level of the hotel site.

Hyatt America senior vice president of development David Tarr said: "Andaz Palm Springs will embody the local culture, infusing it throughout the guest experience.
