Hyatt Hotels has announced its plan to open two new luxury hotels in Los Cabos and Mexico City, Mexico, under the Park Hyatt brand.

The hotels are aimed at meeting the requirements of the global traveller. These high-end properties mark the debut of the Park Hyatt brand in the country.

Currently, the brand has properties in Bangkok, Paris, Tokyo, Vienna, Milan and Zurich, as well as two sister hotels in Latin America: Palacio Duhau-Park Hyatt Buenos Aires, and Park Hyatt Mendoza.

Hyatt senior vice president of capital strategy, real estate and development Pat McCudden said: “We are excited to announce the introduction of the Park Hyatt brand in Mexico.

“Park Hyatt hotels and resorts are masters of detail, and we expect Park Hyatt Los Cabos and Park Hyatt Mexico City will deliver understated elegance and intuitive refinement for guests with an appreciation for world-class architecture, design and cuisine.”

To be located on 26-acre site within Cabo del Sol, Park Hyatt Los Cabos will be a  golf resort community stretching along two miles of beach in Los Cabos, Baja California Sur. It is expected to open in late 2020. The hotel will have 162 guestrooms and 28 Park Hyatt Residences.

To be developed through a joint venture agreement with Grupo Sordo Madaleno, Park Hyatt Mexico City will be part of a mixed use development in the Polanco neighborhood.

It will feature 155 guestrooms and 23-unit Park Hyatt Residences. The hotel is expected to open in early 2021.
