An affiliate of Hyatt Hotels has signed a management agreement with CTF BM Operations for the operation of Grand Hyatt Baha Mar in Bahamas.

As part of the agreement, Hyatt will also manage the Baha Mar Convention Center and several restaurants, bars and lounges, which will be part of the mixed-use Baha Mar Resort on New Providence Island.

The 1,800-room Grand Hyatt Baha Mar will feature three on-site restaurants, including a 200-seat main restaurant, a pool bar and grill and a jazz-themed lounge.

The Baha Mar Resort is set to open in phases, while initial operations at Grand Hyatt Baha Mar are expected to begin next month.

Hyatt Hotels Latin America and Caribbean senior vice-president Myles McGourty said: “It is an honour to soon be part of the Baha Mar family, and Hyatt is thrilled to reaffirm its commitment to Baha Mar and to work together to create an exciting new destination in the Bahamas.

“Expanding Hyatt’s brand presence in the Caribbean is important to our global expansion strategy as we grow our World of Hyatt platform and bring more genuine experiences to our loyal guests in destinations where they want to travel. Grand Hyatt Baha Mar will undoubtedly become one of the premier destinations in the Caribbean.”

The Baha Mar Convention Center will feature more than 85,000ft² of indoor and outdoor meeting space.

Grand Hyatt hotels are located at the crossroads of local culture and global business within major gateway cities and resort destinations.
