Global hospitality major InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has inked a management agreement with India-based real estate developer Sikka to open a 150-room hotel in Noida, India, under the company’s Crowne Plaza brand.

The new Crowne Plaza Taj Expressway Noida will be located in close proximity to the Noida Golf Course Sector-34.

Presently, IHG has 19 hotels in India across four brands – InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express. Seven of these properties are under the Crowne Plaza brand.

The new hotel, expected to open in 2018, will be the second IHG hotel in the city.

It is part of Sikka’s master plan to develop more than 7 million ft² of real estate in the northern part of the country, spanning 12 projects across different cities.
