InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has opened new Holiday Inn Express Jakarta Pluit Citygate hotel in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The 297-room property is located near to the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Jakarta’s famous Emporium Shopping Mall and Mangga Dua Shopping Centre.

Holiday Inn Express Jakarta Pluit Citygate hotel offers power showers, self-service business centre and laundry room, as well as a 24-hour fitness room.

IHG Asia Middle East and Africa (AMEA) CEO Alan Watts said: "The Holiday Inn Express brand is our growth engine: we’re opening more of these hotels across the world than any of our other brands, on average we open two hotels a week globally.

"Indonesia itself is an important market and is now home to five Holiday Inn Express hotels across Jakarta, Bali and Semarang."

According to IHG, Holiday Inn Express Jakarta Pluit Citygate is the tenth Holiday Inn Express Hotel in South East Asia and the fifth in Indonesia.

IHG’s other recently opened Indonesian hotels include Holiday Inn Express Semarang Simpang Lima, Holiday Inn Express Jakarta Thamrin, Holiday Inn Express Bali Kuta Square and Holiday Inn Express Bali Raya Kuta.

IHG franchises, leases, manages or owns around 4,700 hotels and 697,000 guest rooms in about 100 countries, and is also developing around 1,200 new hotels.
