IHG’s US revPAR rises

InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has reported an 8% increase in US revenue per available room (revPAR) for the third quarter of 2011, driven by an occupancy growth of 3% and a rate growth of 3.4%.

InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has reported an 8% increase in US revenue per available room (revPAR) for the third quarter of 2011, driven by an occupancy growth of 3% and a rate growth of 3.4%.

On a total revPAR basis, IHG's US revPAR for third quarter 2011 grew by 9.5%, outperforming the US industry, which was up by 7.9%.

Total revPAR for Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express increased by 10.4% and 9.2%, respectively.
