InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has opened a new 112-room property, Staybridge Suites Albany Wolf Road-Colonie Centre, in Albany, New York, US.
Situated close to the international airport, the hotel is the ninth IHG property in Albany and the first Staybridge property in the capital region of New York.
Turf Colonie owns the new property and it is managed by Turf Hotels.
Staybridge Suites and Candlewood Suites brand management vice-president Robert Radomski said: "We are thrilled that we are now able to offer the home-like and community living experience that the Staybridge Suites brand is known for to those who are visiting the Albany area."
The new property features spacious guestrooms, including a mix of studio and one and two-bedroom / two-bathroom suites, as well as 900ft² of meeting space.
Other amenities in the hotel include a fitness centre, indoor pool, 24-hour business centre and outdoor living room with barbecue, in addition to a guest laundry room and fire pit.
Staybridge Suites Albany Wolf Road-Colonie Centre general manager Robert Huber said: "With our convenient location near the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering, we anticipate many corporate travellers from the nano technology and computer chip manufacturing fields who will appreciate the home-like amenities that our hotel provides to these long-term guests."
