JW Marriott Hotels & Resorts has opened its first property in Italy.

The JW Marriott Venice Resort & Spa has been designed in collaboration with Italian architectural firm Matteo Thun & Partners, the new 250-room property is located on the private island Isola delle Rose (Rose Island).

The new property offers five different styles of accommodation, including the hotel with 191 guest rooms, La Residenza with 12 guest rooms, L’Uliveto with 26 guest rooms and La Maisonette with 20 split-level suites.

Besides an extensive spa, rooftop infinity pool and four restaurants, including an Italian restaurant Dop0lavoro Dining Room, the hotel will include a 1,750m spa operated by GOCO Hospitality. Scheduled to open in early May, the spa will feature an indoor and outdoor aqua-tonic pool, health club, eight treatment rooms, hammam and luxury spa suite.

Other new openings include JW Marriott Bodrum in Turkey in May this year, JW Marriott Cabo San Lucas Resort in Mexico in this fall and JW Marriott Vancouver Place Stadium in British Columbia of Canada in 2016.
