Marriott International has unveiled plans to add 2,700 Moxy hotel rooms in key cities of Europe by the end of 2016.
Marriott intends to sign for about 4,200 rooms alone in this year, with a goal of 150 Moxy hotels and 25,000 rooms by 2020.
The announcement was based on the successful launch of Moxy Milan Malpensa in Italy in September 2014.
Marriott International Europe president and managing director Amy McPherson said: "The launch of Moxy Milan was a defining moment for the brand; its first hotel in a gateway city that has met with widespread approval.
"We expect that the next few years will show significant growth, helping to build brand presence so travellers can familiarise themselves with a new affordable design hotel concept. We look forward to the future and what it brings for Moxy."
Marriott will open 11 properties by 2016 through collaboration with Vastint Hospitality as the owner and developer and franchise partners for Moxy Copenhagen, Nordic Hospitality and ZLEEP Hotels.
In Germany, Marriott plans to open Moxy Munich Airport in winter 2015, Moxy Eschborn and Moxy Berlin Ostbahnhof in early 2016, as well as Moxy Frankfurt Gateway Gardens in summer 2016 and Moxy Essen in winter 2016.
In UK, the group will open Moxy Aberdeen Airport in mid 2016, Moxy London Royal Docks in autumn 2016 and Moxy London Stratford in summer 2016, in addition to Moxy London Heathrow Airport in winter 2016.
Marriott plans to launch Moxy Oslo Exporama in Norway and Moxy Copenhagen in Denmark in summer 2016.
Marriott will also launch the brand in the US market and planned eight properties, including three in New York City, San Francisco, Seattle, New Orleans and Chicago.
